DANIEL KNUTZEN
President
Daniel is a technologist and the President of Kukui IT. He joined the company in 2008 as an Assistant IT Administrator and quickly rose through the ranks thanks to his dedication and hard work. Daniel is a natural leader who is always willing to go the extra mile to help his clients. He is passionate about IT and is always looking for new ways to improve his skills.
Daniel grew up in Sweden, where he learned to appreciate other cultures and learned several languages. He also developed advanced soldering and computer science skills. Moving to Hawaii during high school introduced him to the beauty of the islands.
In his free time, Daniel enjoys a variety of activities, including building and flying drones, hiking, and spending time on the open ocean.
RYAN WILMOT
Founder
Ryan is the founder of Kukui IT. He grew up on the island of Kauai, where he was first introduced to technology at a young age. In 1984, a generous donation of 20 state-of-the-art Apple 2e computers to his elementary school gave him the opportunity to learn computer programming. This experience ignited his passion for technology and instilled in him a profound appreciation for the transformative power of generosity. After graduating from high school, Ryan attended Bellevue College, where he studied aerospace engineering. He later solidified his technical expertise by becoming a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. With skills spanning across multiple programming languages, online marketing, and business, Ryan has always been at the forefront of technological innovation.
Ryan is committed to uplifting businesses and nonprofits, and he donates his time and resources to various organizations. In his free time, Ryan enjoys hiking, traveling, swimming, and playing pickleball.
JAMES FARRAN
IT Support Manager
Born in California, I have always been a global citizen. I spent my formative years between France, Spain, and Lebanon before returning to California for high school. After graduation, I followed my passion for IT to Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, where I earned an associate degree in Computer Science and certificates in Computer Network Operations and Computer Network Security.
After graduation, I worked as an IT and Facilities Specialist for a non-profit organization for six years. In this role, I honed my skills in troubleshooting servers, resolving software glitches, and mastering various computer-related challenges. During my time in Oregon, I met my future wife, a Kauai native. After we were married, we moved to Kauai, where I found my professional niche at Kukui IT. Here, I continue my adventure as an IT Support Engineer, providing IT support to many organizations on the island.
PONO ANAMA
IT Support Engineer
Pono Anama is the Head of the Project Department at Kukui IT Ohana. He joined the company in 2018, and has quickly risen through the ranks thanks to his strong work ethic, passion for IT, and diverse skills.
Pono grew up in a modest environment, the son of a carpenter and a customer service professional. His early experiences instilled in him a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the value of hard work. These formative years also ignited his curiosity for the world of IT, setting him on a path that would lead to his current role as a respected leader in his field.
Pono’s affinity for hardware-based work has been a driving force throughout his career. He finds true satisfaction in the tangible aspects of technology, from designing and implementing new network solutions to troubleshooting and supporting existing network infrastructure.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Pono is a person of diverse interests. He is an avid bodyboarder, hiker, and PC gamer. Pono’s leadership is marked by a collaborative spirit, a commitment to innovation, and an unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional results. He is a true embodiment of the transformative power of passion and perseverance.
CHRIS TONGG

Born and raised on the beautiful island of Maui, Chris Tongg has always been fascinated with how technology powers the world. In high school and college, he focused his academic studies on understanding the intricacies of computers, laying the groundwork for his career in IT. This early passion for technology inspired Chris to dive deep into the realms of computer science and information technology. He is eager to apply his knowledge and enthusiasm to help discover efficient and cutting-edge solutions to tech challenges while providing outstanding customer support.
Outside of his professional aspirations, He enjoys reading, traveling, and working out, often spending his free time exploring the island or diving into new learning opportunities. This enthusiasm for discovery and self-improvement not only enriches his life but also informs his approach to the IT field. With a keen interest in the latest technological advancements and a dedication to improve the lives of others, He is focused on contributing positively to his community and to the IT industry.
CONNER KOSEN
IT Support Engineer
Conner Kosen is an accomplished IT Support Engineer with a passion for technology and a drive to excel in the field.
Conner was born and raised on the picturesque East Side of Kauai, where he was exposed to the digital world at a young age. This early exposure fueled his enthusiasm for all things tech-related, and he began to embark on numerous tech side projects to further enrich his expertise.
Conner’s journey into the world of IT began in middle school, and he has continued to pursue this passion ever since. He is a highly motivated and self-driven individual with a strong work ethic. He is also a quick learner and is always eager to take on new challenges.
In addition to his technical skills, Conner is also a well-rounded individual with a variety of interests. He enjoys spending time with his animals, playing video games, and exploring the outdoors.

BRYSON VICTORINO
Assistant Technician
Born and raised on Kauai, Bryson calls the east side of the island home. One of his earliest memories of computers was watching his dad install Windows 95 via command line. He has gravitated toward tech ever since, an eager adopter of whatever technology he could get his hands on.
From studying digital filmmaking in college, to working as an AV technician on local events, his professional endeavors have allowed him to experience a range of technologies.l Bryson joined the Kukui IT team in 2024, and is grateful for the chance to serve the community and help local businesses with their tech needs.
In his spare time he enjoys tinkering with smart home setups, baking, hiking and gaming.
